Given how his potential predecessor in that role has underwhelmed this campaign could only ease such a surprising entry into the first team, allowing the youngster the platform to catapult himself into the stratosphere.

Manchester United are keen to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka when he becomes a free agent in the summer, Football Insider report.

Ndicka made the move to Frankfurt as a teenager back in 2018 from French side AJ Auxerre and has gone on to become a key member for the Bundesliga side.

Football Insider shared an update in the last 48 hours regarding Ndicka and a possible move to the Premier League. They revealed that United and Liverpool are keen on signing the left-footed defender for free, with his future being described as one to watch.

The Red Devils could be in need of a new centre-back over the coming months alongside a new midfielder and forward, with Erik ten Hag reportedly giving the green light to potential summer sales for Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.

The striker-turned-midfielder has been a standout performer in the team throughout their rise to success this season, and although playing in the wide-forward position today, the Brazilian showed his quality, versatility and persistence after a questionable first half.

Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make contact with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, despite him being open to talks over a reunion.

It is believed they had initially considered selling the club if bids in the region of £6bn were to land on their table over the coming months.

However, the American family have now seen NFL team, the Washington Commanders, put up for sale in the region of £4.8bn which could see them reevaluate their stance at Old Trafford.

The Commanders are one of the NFL's least glamorous and least decorated sides which could put United's valuation into perspective.

ESPN have claimed the Glazers could potentially look to remain at United for another decade in hope of seeing the club's value rise to around £10bn.

And speaking on the Talking Transfers podcast, insider Graeme Bailey has suggested sources in America have highlighted the sale of the Washington Commanders as a potential issue for United:

United and the Dallas Cowboys in America are regarded as the two biggest clubs/franchises in world sport. And I just don't think this money will be enough for the Glazers."

This could be another interesting twist in the potential sale of the Red Devils which is quickly turning into a farce for fans of the Premier League giants.

United were put up for sale back in November and the interested parties have done their bit in showing their interest in potentially taking the club off the Glazers.

Journalist Dean Jones has rubbished the idea that Newcastle United have any chance of landing Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia amid recent transfer links.

The Magpies have impressed many this term and look as though they could be playing Champions League football next term.

Indeed, with just eight Premier League games left to play, they currently sit fourth on the table, three points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur despite having played one game fewer.

With that being the case, if they can finish inside the top four, Eddie Howe and his team will feel confident of landing some big names this summer when the market reopens.

Already, plenty of targets are already being touted. For instance, as per a recent report in The Telegraph Napoli pair Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia are "admired” by the Magpies.

However, while talking on a recent episode of the Chasing Green Arrows podcast, insider Jones slammed the idea of either playing joining.

He explained (14:21): "There is absolutely no chance.

"Like, even if Newcastle are abandoning their careful spending, there is not enough money in the world to convince those two to go to Newcastle at the moment.

How much would Osimhen or Kvaratskhelia cost Newcastle?

Both players have had exceptional seasons as they look destined to win Serie A with Napoli, who are also currently still in with a shot at winning the Champions League.

Indeed, Osimhen has scored 25 goals in 30 games this term in total, while also claiming five assists – meaning he averages one direct goal contribution every time he plays.

Kvaratskhelia is operating on a similar level, with 14 goals and 16 assists in 34 outings in his debut season in Italy.

With that in mind, Newcastle won't be the only ones interested in the pair this summer. For example, Chelsea have recently been tipped to make a £100m bid for Osimhen.

On top of that, Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Christian Emile, has told Fabrizio Romano (via Goal): "He’s come to Napoli, he’s been brilliant, and people are talking about €100m (£88m).

"For me, if he continues to perform like this until the end of the season and next season, because there’s a 0% chance they sell him [in January]. He will reach €100m for sure.”

Thanks to their wealthy owners and possible European football next term, the Magpies might have the finances to splash that kind of cash next summer.

However, that doesn't necessarily mean these two would want to join Newcastle and Jones certainly doesn't think either one of the duo would trade Naples for Tyneside any time soon.

Newcastle United have held talks with the agent of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic ahead of a potential summer transfer swoop, according to a new report.

Who could Newcastle sign this summer?

Newcastle are clearly in the market for a new central midfielder this summer, having been linked to a number of players in that area of the pitch, with Manchester United's Scott McTominay still being monitored, although he could now cost as much as £50m.

The Magpies could also move for Leicester City ace Youri Tielemans, who will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, as a result of his contract expiring, although his wage demands are high, which could be a potential stumbling block.
