يمهد نادي إنتر ميامي الأمريكي للإعلان الرسمي عن توقيع النجم الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي، بمقطع فيديو نشره عبر حسابه الرسمي على “تويتر” قبل قليل.

وأكد ميسي في مقابلة مطولة أنه اتخذ قرارًا نهائيًا بالانضمام إلى إنتر ميامي الأمريكي، موضحًا سبب عدم عودته إلى برشلونة.

ونشر إنتر ميامي مقطع فيديو، ظهرت خلاله صور وتغريدات للصحفيين والصحف والأخبار التي تم تداولها بشأن مستقبل ميسي.

وفي نهاية الفيديو، تم كتابة اسم ميسي، ومن المنتظر أن يعلن النادي عن تفاصيل التعاقد خلال الساعات المقبلة.

وقد ارتبط ميسي بالعودة إلى برشلونة ناديه السابق، لكن الوضع المالي للنادي كان حائلًا أمام إتمام التعاقد.

كما رغب الهلال السعودي في إقناع ميسي بالتوقيع له، بعد نهاية رحلته مع باريس سان جيرمان والتي استمرت عامين، لكن الأرجنتيني فضل إنتر ميامي.

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim has made an appeal for more Tests for his side after they were much-improved competitors in the two-Test series in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh lost the series 0-1 but had positive results, forcing a draw in Galle, their first in this country.The visitors lost the second Test in Colombo, but there were periods at the Premadasa when they were on par with Sri Lanka. The performance prompted Mushfiqur to ask for more chances to play Tests.”It doesn’t matter if we do well or not, we will have more opportunity if we get more Tests to play,” Mushfiqur said. “Those who in authority, I would ask them to give us more Tests. We can show that we can play good, consistent Test cricket.”It is up to the cricket board whether we play a three-Test series, but we must play eight to ten Tests in a year. You can play as many ODIs and T20s you want, but Test cricket is the ultimate. You have periods of long struggle in Test cricket, it builds character and confidence.”Bangladesh have only played two three-match series since gaining Test status in 2000, and the last one was nearly six years ago in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh played just two Tests in 2012, and are scheduled to play four more this year.Questions remain, however, over the Bangladesh players’ durability in Test cricket. They have shown, in these two matches in Sri Lanka, the ability to dominate a session, or even a day, but to string together consistently impressive performances over several days is still a challenge.”We are working on this but we haven’t reached a stage where we can play 10 days of consistent cricket out of 14-15 days,” Mushfiqur said. “The focus that is required to face deliveries pitching on the same spot requires mental and technical skills.”They bowl maidens, build the pressure on our batsmen. When they are batting, they are aware a bad ball is around the corner, so they wait and give enough respect to the good ball. But we have to play a lot more than just the two or four [Tests] per year.”Mushfiqur said the bowling attack needed to develop, but had to be given time. Bangladesh’s highest wicket-taker in the series, Sohag Gazi, has completed only four Test matches, and without Shakib Al Hasan the attack has only shown flashes of potential.”We made only 240 [in Colombo] against a team like Sri Lanka, so that wasn’t good enough. We don’t have a bowling attack that can bowl them out for 200. [Kumar] Sangakkara and [Dinesh] Chandimal played really well, they didn’t give us a chance,” Mushfiqur said. “In the second innings, some of us were set but we got out. The spinners should have bowled better on this wicket, which Rangana Herath showed by bowling in one spot.”Bangladesh’s next Tests are against Zimbabwe in April, but they have an ODI series and Twenty20 left to play against Sri Lanka over the next 11 days.

O atleta argentino participou das campanhas campeãs da Copa do Brasil de 2015 e do Brasileiro de 2016, mas nas duas últimas temporadas atuou pelo Bahia. Ano passado, esteve perto de fechar com o Racing (ARG), que desistiu do negócio ao reprová-lo nos exames médicos graças a um problema no joelho direito.

Este quadro não o impede de jogar, mas é preciso de acompanhamento, tanto que ele era um dos oito atletas com cronograma específico de trabalho na pré-temporada palmeirense.

Sua saída não deve ser a única do Verdão nos próximos dias. Felipão agora tem 35 jogadores no elenco (contando Willian, que se recupera de uma cirurgia no joelho), só que sua intenção é ter de 28 a 30 atletas à disposição. Fabiano, Nico Freire, Guerra e Erik já chamaram atenção de outras equipes e também podem deixar a Academia de Futebol.

Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting has announced his participation in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), becoming the first international player to be involved in the newly formed T20 league. The CPL is scheduled to begin July 29, and will run till August 26. It will involve six franchise countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago.So far there are six confirmed West Indian players for the tournament: Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, and West Indies captain Darren Sammy. As of now, no decision has been made as to which franchise Ponting will be associated with. This is now Ponting’s fourth international T20 team, as he is already a part of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League, and Surrey in English county cricket.The CPL will contract a total of 90 players, with each franchise team selecting 15 players. Just like the IPL, there are quotas regarding players playing under a certain age, and how many international players a team can field at one time. Each team can field a maximum of four international players, and must have at least four players under the age of 23, with the rest of the squad comprising of local regional players.”The West Indies has always been one of my favourite cricket destinations,” Ponting said. “The mix of entertainment and cricket is the perfect recipe for West Indian cricket fans, as well as the rest of the world. The format and concept is fantastic, and I am sure it will be a huge success right from the start.”Ponting announced his international retirement last year and has since plied his trade in Sheffield Shield, and in the Big Bash League for Hobart Hurricanes. He was picked up by the Mumbai Indians during the IPL auction held in February, and is expected to captain the squad this season.
